Perfect Posture & Pontac Team Up For Berman/Johnston Tribute

Preserve artists Perfect Posture and Pontac have teamed up to pay tribute to David Berman (Silver Jews, Purple Mountains) and Daniel Johnston, the singular songwriting voices who left us this past summer.

For the collaboration, Patrick Budde (Perfect Posture) sent Max Abner (Pontac) sketches of beats made on his laptop, quickly and without much forethought. Abner laid down vocals (and a little harmonica/guitar) in his Oakland apartment, which were sent back to Budde for the final mix.

The album is available for download on a pay-what-you-can basis via the Pontac and Preserve Records bandcamp pages.

All proceeds from the release will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
