Vender & The Cobras is back with new music for the first time since 2018's The Lion's Boy [PR-06].
Conceived and constructed during the COVID pandemic, the new album, Under the Mountain, is a sprawling project that plumbs the depths of the Vender & the Cobras archive, featuring increasingly sparser tracks recorded in bedrooms and on Chicago El platforms and in parks in New Orleans and in the quiet moments in between.
It is a sage burning, an exorcism, a forever parade.
Under The Mountain will be released in three album-length installments (one per week) on April 15th, April 22nd, and April 29th, respectively.
First single, "Dutifully," is pulled from Under The Mountain 1: Hallelujah Breeze With The Windows Down, and features synth production from Vender collaborator and Preserve Records founder Patrick Budde (Perfect Posture.)
